A little about us . . .
Denise and Kristin are a mother-in-law/daughter-in-law team. About a year ago, the then 2-year-old Brooklyn, the inspiration for Brookie's Closet, made a trip to the fabric store with her mother and grandmother. While there she could be heard in the fabric store saying over and over, "Oh Grandma, it's so cute! I love it! I need it Grandma; I do, I do!" And thus began Brookie's Closet. We are now excited to share some of her favorites with you! Thank you for spending time here with us.
Denise started sewing at about 10, and she started designing when she was 14. She can't sit still unless she is creating something. She either has a project, a book, or a child as her focus. If she's not spending time with her sweet babies, she is creating beautiful easy care items for her grandchildren to wear. For her day job, she uses her M.Ed degree in educational psychology to work with at risk youth. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, home remodeling, and of course, designing and sewing!
Kristin is a young mother of two sweet children, Brooklyn 3 and David 2. After high school, she studied business with an emphasis in finance. She married her high school sweetheart (Denise's handsome son), and after a few years working at a local credit union, she decided to stay home and be with her children full time.
Oh, and just wait and see what's going to happen with this cute fabric!! D
